  • No. In accordance with Maine regulations, clients are responsible for purchasing and supplying all alcohol for their event. We provide an alcohol quantity calculator and ordering guidance to help ensure you purchase the correct amounts.

  • All services require a 4-hour minimum. Please allow bartenders additional time for set-up and breakdown. Should your event be shorter than four hours, the host is still responsible for the 4-hour minimum rate.

  • One bartender serves up to 75 guests.
    Events with more than 75 guests require two bartenders to ensure efficient service and minimal wait times.

    Larger events are staffed accordingly.

  • Our packages include professional bartenders, ice, coolers, ice bins, bar tools, alcohol ordering assistance, beverage napkins, disposable cups, and setup/breakdown.

    Our cocktail package additionally includes mixers, fresh garnishes (citrus, herbs, etc.), cocktail straws, and preparation of up to two custom curated cocktails.

  • Yes. Beginning August 1st, our professional portable bar is available as an add-on to any bartending package.

    The portable bar provides a designated, polished focal point for service and includes built-in ice storage and organized workspace.

  • A tip jar may be displayed unless otherwise arranged, in which case the gratuity is handled by the host and their guests. Please note: There is a $200 tip minimum per bartender. In the event that a bartender does not make $200 in tips during their service, the host is responsible for paying the difference, though this is very uncommon. This charge will be listed on the invoice.

    Many clients, however, choose to include a 20% host-covered gratuity in their contract to maintain a seamless guest experience, in which case a tip jar will not be displayed. The $200 tip minimum will still apply.

  • Yes. Salt & Stone Mobile Bartending is insured and bartenders are TIPs-certified through the state of Maine.

    Proof of insurance and certification can be provided to venues upon request.

  • Yes. Our cocktail package includes up to two custom curated cocktails. Additional signature cocktails can be added to your package.

  • Additional service time beyond your contracted hours is billed at the standard hourly rate per bartender.

  • Once your contract is finalized, you will receive an emailed invoice. Payments can be made securely online directly through the invoice link.

    A signed contract and 30% retainer are required to secure your event date. The remaining balance is due prior to the event.

    Memorial Day Weekend, Fourth of July Weekend, & Labor Day Weekend require full payment to reserve your booking.

  • We proudly serve Mount Desert Island, including but not limited to Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, & Tremont. Travel fees may apply for events outside our standard service area.

  • No. Salt & Stone offers mobile event bartending services year round!
